Oh, we were only making characters there. With this you can only make the characters too I'm pretty sure. It's really fun just to make characters though. Scroll wheel makes them fatter btw, it took us a while to figure that out .

I've made a bunch of random things, but all my saved creatures go poof as soon as I exit the program. But here's the tiny little images I have in "My Creatures" folder that I got when I saved them.

Can't wait till the full release with all the parts. I'm running out of ideas because it's so limited at the moment.

And yes, at the moment this is only the Creature Creator part of Spore, nothing more. I do remember reading that the creatures you create with this you can save and eventually port over into the full game when it is released. (But I'm guessing not or something is wrong seeing as my saved creatures go poof.) The full game is released in 83(?) days I think the creator said.

aw yeah, this version has very limited things. The one at work had all of the parts discovered, so it was more fun. This is still cool though! I love how they get happy when you give em eyes and stuff.

My pic came off the sporepedia after I uploaded it, the ones you're posting are the pngs with the creature data inside, I.E. http://ll-058.ea.com/spore/static/th...0000058220.png

You can just drag and drop those images into the editor to load creatures.

Oh, and for the saving issues, only fix I know of at the moment is to move your creations out of the creatures folder, load/exit the game, move them back and load it up again. It's a pain, hopefully it'll be fixed by the time it's released officially.

That thing's expression made me laugh hard.

I think the only thing I don't like is that it has to be symmetrical. I want doodads in random spots, not in random spots but also in the same random spot on the opposite side Can't wait to see what isn't available to us now. His expression is awesome. I couldn't help but laugh at it. I think he's wondering the same question and thinking "Dear god put me out of my misery."

I'm not sure what's up now. It's now showing two of my creatures I created about 2 hours ago, but the others are still non existant in the game. I tried taking the .png files out of the Creatures folder and putting them back in but it didn't work. I'm a little upset, but knowing that this is only the trial version and it doesn't have all the parts is just making me think I'll just have to remake them anyway with new parts.
