Is this Hellboy 2 movie going to be any good?

The first looked like average comic book movie fare, and since I'm not really a comic book person I didn't really bother to check it out. But I loved Pan's Labyrinth because of the really amazing visual style and cinematography. Now I'm seeing ads for the second one and it looks to have a similar warped-fantasy kind of look. Is the movie itself supposed to be good? Was the first one good? I can only tolerate so much crash-bang in movies, if there isn't an interesting plot or something to move things forward I lose interest.

I really enjoyed the first one, granted it wasn't the BEST comic book movie, but no one expected it to be. I think the second will be much better, Del toro is gonna have a lot more freedom artistically

The first movie if I recall did not do exceptionally well in the theaters but it seems to have gained a lot of popularity on DVD. I really enjoyed the movie and bought it on DVD when I could. I am very much looking forward to this movie and Del Toro is an amazing film maker.

That's not BRPing. Krye sucks in general, but here he's fine.

Also, he's wrong, Hellboy was pretty entertaining (mainly because of Ron Perlman, and also because every time I see Selma Blair I picture her naked against a wall getting railed from behind by a big black guy screaming "fuck me nigger" so that doesn't hurt either.)

Blade II is entertaining, but it's definitely not high quality.
